R&D Chamber Design and manufacture

Within the framework of the project MIPBF on the analysis of the defects in materials, CAP Engineering Solutions & Services in partnership with the company Ion Links Int.Ltd. manufactured an R&D chamber with various integrated systems (apertures, magnetic positioning of the positron beam, rotary platen for substrates, Penning ion source, MCP, positioning table for GE detector, 10K-1000K sample holder).

  • Conception and manufacture of a R&D chamber allowing the analysis of defects by bombardment of positrons

  • Design of an aperture system, a magnetic positioning system of the positrons beam, a rotary platen, a 25mm directional  10K-1000K heating / cooling holder

  • Munufacture of a 30KV – 10µA Penning ion source

  • Manufacture of a MCP phosphorus screen, an 50KV acceleration tube of positrons, two positioning tables for Ge detector

  • Implementation of a supervision system under LabVIEW
